John Gerhardt

The Coveted is a really great blog if you are looking for reasons to work hard in life and get a good job. And along with the good job you'll be able to afford all the nice Prada & Margiela jumpers your heart could wish for.

Just like Hold Renfrew's Creative Director's, John Gerhardt.

- When it comes to Canadian fashion, John Gerhardt is at the forefront of our attention. Since 2004, he has reigned king of Holt Renfrew, playing the role of influential Creative Director. Holt Renfrew is one of North America's finest luxury retailers, and Gerhardt has helped to secure that notion - globally situating himself as one of retails most influential creative forces. What he brings to the table: both his strong passion and understanding for the print and visual domains, highlighting his background in fashion editorial to a different territory. Time Magazine declared our patriotic Gerhardt as one of "The Design 100 - The People and Ideas Behind Today's Most Influential Design". -

Alexander McQueen: A/W 11

Its nice to see that the McQueen aesthetics is alive and well under Sarah Burton's creative control. The long coats, the crazy collars, the leather and the prints, all the McQueen traits were on display.

Ann Demeulemeester A/W 11

Ann Demeulemeester's latest collection was a mash-up of leather, crazed hair extensions and some good old fashioned rock and roll. I am particularly enjoying the pirate gloves.

Good as Gold: A/W 11 Menswear Recap

Jean Paul Gaultier

The big trends this A/W were chunky knitwear (that trend isn't going anywhere for a while), lots of leather, the aviator jacket, and for a nice change bold colours made a welcomed return to the menswear runway, particularly at D&G and Bottega Veneta. And I have to mention all the gold from the one and only Jean Paul Gaultier!
